An interactive installation that was produced in collaboration with students from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, as part of my Final Year Project. This installation highlights the basis of freedom of speech in Singapore and Guangzhou’s coffeeshops and teahouses respectively, where people are able to converse about everyday topics without restriction. By listening in to the hanging cups, one is able to hear ongoing conversations recorded at various coffee shops and teahouses.
